Handknit washcloths or dishcloths are a great alternative to plastic based cleaning products. These are washable and
reusable, and cotton is naturally biodegradable which makes them compostable when the washcloths eventually wear out.

I
have knitted these in Stylecraft Naturals Organic Cotton and Scheepjes Catona cotton yarn, on 3.5mm needles. Knitting
tension isn’t crucial for this pattern so choose a yarn and needle combination that gives the texture or size of washcloth you
would like.

Yarn quantities: One washcloth uses approximately 25g of yarn, somewhat depending on your knitting tension and the yarn
type used.
