Colourfoam Scarf

A simple and quickly knitted scarf that uses a single skein of hand painted double knit yarn to great effect - pretty and practical!
This is a straightforward use of the Seafoam stitch from Barbara Walker’s Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns. The undulating waves of dropped yarn overs create a stained glass window effect from short runs of colour in a hand painted yarn. At the same time the laciness helps the limited meterage of a single skein of double knit yarn go further, and helps to trap air for warmth.
