Come Home Hood: Bulky Gauge
Something you should know, before you buy:
For the pictured sample(s), and every hood I’ve ever made using this pattern, I’ve used recycled or unraveled yarn. I do not know the exact yardage needed, and the yarn weight I use varies. Sometimes I use two lace weights held together, sometimes a light fingering or fingering weight. The difference in size, for me, is negligible, but I know not all knitters like making projects that have unpredictable outcomes. So please keep that in mind before you buy! I will not offer refunds.
Materials:
Bulky gauge knitting machine
Latch tool
One, two, and three prong transfer tool
Machine weights
Row counter
Worsted weight yarn (If using bulky weight, put machine at stitch size 10)
Tapestry needle
Scissors
Techniques:
Latch tool cast on and bind off
Stockinette knitting
Folded hems
Rehanging
Decreasing
E-wrap cast on
I-cord
Mattress stitch
Gauge: 4 Stitches and 5 Rows per inch at a Stitch Size 8. I did achieve gauge with bulky weight yarn at stitch size 10.
The pattern only offers a single, adult size, but a child size is in the works and will be included as a free update for individuals who buy the pattern now.
