Come Together Poncho
The Come Together Poncho is a nice and cosy piece of clothes to keep you warn on cold days.
Six pieces formed as rectangles are nicely arranged and joined, and almost by magic they become a poncho.
All six pieces are made in interlocking crochet, a technique that consists of two crochet parts in different colors which are interlinked and thereby they form relief pictures.
The pattern is for right hand.
DIMENSIONS
The poncho measures approximately:
- 75 cm from neck to tip
- 70 cm from shoulder to tip
- 80 cm from side to side (where it is widest)
YARN
I have used a yarn that is 100% wool:
- 150 m pr. 50g. (meterage)
- 20-22 st /30 rows (gauge)
The poncho is made in two variants with different joints. The Bordeaux/peach variant has an extra border and uses a little more yarn.
Petrol/mint:
- Background color (BC), petrol: 200 g (600m)
- Relief color (RC), mint: 350g (1050m)
Bordeaux/peach:
- Background color (BC), bordeaux: 200 g (600m)
- Relief color (RC), peach: 400 g (1200 m)
HOOK
I have used hook size 3.
SKILL LEVEL
You need some basic crochet skills to become familiar with the technique, but when you get it, it is actually just a whole lot of double crochets! Apart from the basics in interlocking crochet, diagonal and solid stitches are used.
TERMINOLOGY
US terminology is used in the pattern.
