Comfort and Joy Mittens
I feel like this year we could all use a little extra comfort and joy, and sometimes it really is the little things that bring the greatest joy – a warm smile, a kind word, a special treat or handmade gift for someone special.
These mittens are knit with worsted yarn so are a quick and fun project, perfect for gift knitting. The simple colourwork adds a bit of fun and is great if you’ve been wanting to try colourwork. I hope you’ll join me in knitting these mittens and that you too find some measure of comfort and joy.
These mittens are knit in the round using circular, DPN or magic loop. The instructions for the colourwork is charted. Pattern requires knowledge of basic stitches as well as increasing and decreasing.
The pattern is simple and fun and great for advanced beginner knitters. You will need approx 10 g of a contrast colour yarn for the colourwork.
