I design this shawl when I started thinking about what I thought “Auntie Em” of the Wizard of Oz would wear. I decided to use chunky yarn thinking how comfortable it would look and feel on my shoulders. However, after using the chunky yarn, I then preceded to work up the shawl in dk weight yarn and in lace weight yarn. The stitch pattern is such that you can easily keep going for as long as you want. A different weight yarn a different look. The collar is also optional.
