Comforter in a Ridged Pattern
This pattern is
available for free.
This is a very pretty pattern for a comforter; it is quite easy to do and the work is alike on both sides; the ends are finished off with an open-knit border, which is a pleasing variation from the usual fringe, though a fringe may be substituted if preferred.
This antique scarf pattern calls for “4oz. white Berlin fingering, Peacock quality, or a good ordinary Scotch fingering, and a pair of No. 8 bone knitting needles, also a medium bone crochet needle, for working a scalloped edge along each end of the border.”
No gauge or size information is given, but it could be worked in any yarn with appropriately sized needles.
