This sham pattern measures 18” x 18” and has overlapping panels for the back closure. The simplicity of the sham construction means you can easily remove the cover to wash it or change it to decorate for the holidays, and no buttons or zippers are required.

This unique crochet pattern combines two sections of traditional crochet with one section of the overlay mosaic crochet technique. To follow this pattern, you will need to be familiar with single crochet, single crochet front loop only, half double crochet, half double crochet front loop only, and mosaic crochet (single crochet and double crochet). Sham is created as one rectangle and then the panels are sewn partially shut.

PDF purchase includes written instructions, mosaic crochet chart with X’s to denote double crochets, A/B at the row edges to show what color you will work the row in, a symbol legend at the bottom of the chart, and colored photos.

Finished sham is approximately 18” wide x 18” tall when made using 10 oz of worsted weight yarn (5 oz Color A, 5 oz Color B), and a 6 mm/ J / US-10 hook.

Tapestry needle, scissors, and 18” x 18” pillow insert are needed.
