An elegant mix of lace and cables, this bolero is the perfect accessory for warm days and cool nights. Knit from the center out you’ll start your journey building a compass, soon your compass will guide you to the ocean waves, and finally you’ll end among sea shells.

This handy little accessory uses between 200 and 400 yards making it a perfect choice for that special bit of homespun, or even leftover yarn from socks.

Sizing is done via needle size changes, while exact gauge is not critical it is important you know how your yarn will behave when washed and blocked.

Yarn
Pink bolero shown in A Hundred Ravens Tyche, a soft single ply fingering weight. Bolero has been tested successfully in wool and acrylic fingering weight yarns.

Gauge
It is important to block your swatch, noting both pre and post blocking measurements to understand how big your bolero will grow.

Post blocked gauge:

US 4: 26x40 = 4 inches (10cm)
US 5: 24x32 = 4 inches (10cm)
US 6: 22x28 = 4 inches (10cm)
