Compulsion is an awesomely huge multi patterned not really 1/2 Pi shawl worked in WORSTED weight yarn. It was the first in a series of “Obsessive Knitting Disorder” Mystery KALs that were offered in the Criminal Knits group in 2014 link text

Materials:
Sizes S, M & L will need 880 yds of worsted weight yarn (this shawl is smaller “upfront” and in overall volume than the larger size, but my Size 1 model loves the larger one….)

Sizes XL, XXL, XXXL will need 1100 yds of worsted weight yarn

Needles: Size 9 24” and 40” circs

Please note: I knitted the sample in Malabrigo Rios (OMG talk about super soft and yummy! and washable, too!) which worked up a little thicker than say… Berroco Vintage.

YARN QUESTIONS: I worked my “Compulsion” in the Malabrigo colorway “English Rose” which is TONAL. It shows the different stitches off really well. I do NOT recommend a truly variegated yarn.

Size:Fully blocked the large shawl measures 106” across by 35” high knit on size 9 needles in the Malabrigo worsted.
