Concert Shrug
An adorable mother/daughter project for a special night out, these stylish and sweet knitted shrugs have a delightful, cropped silhouette reminiscent of the Regency era. The raglan shaping and slightly rounded sleeves will make you feel like you’ve dropped into a Jane Austen story.

Finished Size 9.5 (10.5, 11.25, 11.75, 12.75, 13, 13.5, 14, 15.25, 17, 19)“ back width from center of underarm to center of underarm. Purple shrug shown measures 10.5” and gray shrug measures 17”.
Yarn Valley Yarns Goshen (48% Peruvian cotton, 46% modal, 6% silk; 92 yd / 1.75 oz): 2 (2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4) balls. Shown in #17 purple haze and #4020 winter lake (gray). Yarn distributed by WEBS.
Needles Size 7 (4.5 mm): 24” circular and set of double-pointed. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers; stitch holders; tapestry needle; size 9 (1.4 mm) steel crochet hook (see Notes); about 60 (70, 90, 90, 90, 90, 110, 110, 115, 155, 190) size 3/0 round Japanese seed beads (shown: Toho in #85 metallic purple iris).
Gauge 18 sts and 28 rows = 4” in charted patt.
Notes This shrug is worked back and forth in rows from the top down with raglan shaping. The sleeves are worked in the round from the top down.
The metric equivalents for steel crochet hooks vary for different brands; choose a size that will pass through the hole of the beads.
