Concertina Fingerless Mitts
These lace fingerless mitts are adaptable to be elegant or sporty depending on the yarn you use.
The unique construction of the thumb allows for a “gusset” of sorts to be created in order to facilitate the webbing between your thumb and index finger for a flawless fit.
Make them long to your elbow or short to your wrist according to your liking. Made short, they are a quick knit for a quick gift.
US size 1 (2.25mm) (US size 2.5 3mm), or size to obtain gauge.
The mitts can be made using a set of dpn’s, one circular needle using the magic
loop method, or two circular needles (for knitting one mitt at a time or two at a
time)
Needle size determines finished mitt size. See gauge to determine needle size for
project.
36 sts and 42 rounds = 4” in lace pattern on size 1 needles after blocking
33 sts and 39 rounds = 4” in lace pattern on size 2.5 needles
