Concrete Scarf
For my Concrete Scarf from A Knitter’s Sketchbook, I picked out the patterns and lines within a textured, solid concrete panel on the side of a building. These elements were then used to create a distinctive knitted stitch pattern. The resulting scarf has the look of the building wall, yet is soft and wearable, making it perfect to wrap around your neck and shoulders!
The scarf is knitted in West Yorkshire Spinners Fleece Aran, a yarn with just the right structure to show off the cable movements in the pattern. I used a combination of contrasting stocking stitch and reverse stocking stitch cables which the lovely WYS yarn shows perfectly in the Light Brown shade.
To knit the Concrete Scarf, you will need 3 x 100g skeins of WYS Fleece Aran in shade Light Brown.
