Confusion Illusion Cushions
An illusion - in more ways than one!
Look straight down on these cushions and you see nothing but stripes. Look at them from an angle and you see arrows …. but which way are they pointing?
The cushions use illusion knitting techniques worked from our specially designed charts. They are extremely easy to make. If you can knit and purl you can make these.
The pattern also includes instructions on how to adapt the chart so that you can use it to make an afghan or other large item.
The cushions in the photographs were made using DK yarns. You can use any smooth yarn of your choice but may get a bigger, or smaller, cushion.
As with all illusion knitting, the design can be seen best when the knitting is completely flat. The cushion pad tends to distort the illusion a little at the edges.
