Congratulations Banner
CONGRATULATIONS BANNER is a simply yet effective pattern using simple overlay mosaic crochet techniques. As the letters are made from side to side, each one can be a different colour! There is no need to carry colours across! This would be great for a party or other celebration. Make it in the party themed colours or make it colourful like mine.

YARN AMOUNTS
This banner can be made in any yarn.
However, in the main example (the rainbow on white) I used Stylecraft Special DK and a 3.50 mm hook. Each letter took no more than 40 metres. However, overall, I used: 480 m of the background colour (white) for the background and envelope border, and 270 m in total for the letters. The pattern includes a breakdown of yarn needed per letter.
Please note that using a different yarn, hook and tension will alter these amount. Make the first letter and assess how much yarn you’ve used and compare this with my usage to scale up or down.

MEASUREMENTS
For the banner shown (rainbow colours on white) using Stylecraft Special DK and a 3.5 mm hook, the banner measured, approximately, 40” x 10” / 102cm x 25.5cm
A big thank you to my wonderful testers.
