Conker Shell Pocket Pal & Poem
This pattern is 11 pages long and contains lots of photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in American crochet terms.
PLEASE NOTE - This design is part of a series of Pocket Pal Patterns that I in the process of releasing. If you have purchased this pattern you will be eligible for a 50% discount on any of my other Pocket Pal Patterns.
This design is for a small doll, as well as a conker shell for it to be hidden inside. You attach the arms to the doll as you work, and so the only sewing involved with this, is to attach the hat and to embroider the facial details!
The pattern also includes a poem that can be printed out to accompany the Pocket Pal if it’s a gift (or being made to sell as a gift).
Using 4 Ply cotton and & 2.5 mm hook, the Pocket Pal doll is 6 cm tall. With Aran / light worsted weight yarn & 4 mm hook it comes out at roughly 8.5 cm tall.
You will need:
Yarn of your choice in pale pink as well as one other colour for the body and hat. Yarn weight doesn’t really matter - the size of your Pocket Pal will simply turn out bigger or smaller!
The same weight yarn in green and cream for your conker shell, and in brown and beige for the conker itself.
A suitable size hook for the yarn you have chosen.
Toy stuffing.
A small amount of black and dark pink finer yarn or embroidery thread for embroidering the facial details.
Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, some scissors and a stitch marker.
You are welcome to sell the items that you make using this pattern, but please do not sell / share the pattern itself. Thank you.
