This women’s slightly cropped, laceweight cardigan features rows of eyelet bands at the sleeve cuffs and circular yoke which may be left as-is for an open, airy effect, or trimmed with slim bands of ribbon for a pretty, feminine touch. The sweater is worked in Stockinette Stitch from the bottom hem up to the underarms with waist shaping. The body is then placed on hold and the sleeves are knit in the round, after which, the sleeves and body are joined together and the upper sweater body is shaped with concentric decreases. Hems are worked in garter stitch, as are the front bands.
You will need approximately 690 (920, 1150, 1380, 1840, 2070, 2300) yards of a lace-weight yarn to complete the project as written.
