Constance cardigan is a vintage-­inspired, plunging v-­neck cardigan.
The body is worked in an all­over delicate stitch pattern matched at the cuffs. The design features a double breasted front fastened with a classic set of two rows of buttons.
The cardigan is worked bottom­up and back and forth in one piece up to the underarms. From here, fronts and back are divided to work each part separately.
The puffy sleeves are voluminous and worked by picking up the stitches from the body. They are entirely worked in the round. After reaching the specified sleeve length, the ‘bishop’ effect is created by working a tight rib at the cuff.
The model in the picture is 169 cm tall and wears a size 2.

Yarn
10 (10, 10, 11, 11, 12, 13) skeins of Kid Silk Lace Gregoria Fibers (25g =230 yards/210 m) (73% superkid mohair, 27% silk).
You will need a total of approximately 275 (300, 350, 400, 430, 460, 485) grams to complete your cardigan.
The cardigan is worked holding three strands of yarn together.
For the sample, we used three strands of our colorway “Ivory”.

Needles
US 6 / 4 mm circular needles, cable length 16 or 24” / 40 or 60 cm and 32 or 40” / 80 or 100 cm for both pattern stitch and stockinette stitch.
US 4 / 3.5 mm circular needles, cable length 16 or 24” / 40 or 60 cm and 32 or 40” / 80 or 100 cm for picking up the sleeve sts.
US 6 / 4 mm DPNs.

Gauge
23 stitches x 20 rows= 4”/10cmonUS6/4mm needles in pattern stitch worked back and forth after blocking.
21 stitches x 28 rounds = 4” / 10 cm on US 6 / 4 mm needles stockinette stitch worked in the round after blocking.
