Constantine's Dream
Constantine’s dream is a triangular shawl worked from one end to the other in a two-color mosaic pattern. The border is knitted onto picked-up stitches along the lower edge.
This shawl has been designed for the 2025 edition of La Fête de la Laine in Malakoff, France.
YARN
Two contrasting colors of fingering yarn (400 m/437 yards/100 g), 350 m/382 yards of each color needed.
The sample in white and pink/lilac is worked with Pérégrine by Christal LK (100 % Est à Laine merino, 388 m/424 yards/100 g), colors Vela (A) and Ivoire (B).
The sample in two shades of grey is worked with Ouessant by Bouclelaine (100 % French wool, 400 m/437 yards/100 g), colors Anthracite (A) and Brume (B).
NEEDLES AND NOTIONS
3.5 mm (US 4) circular needle, at least 80 cm/32 inches long.
One stitch marker.
Tapestry needle to weave in ends.
GAUGE
28 stitches × 60 rows = 10 cm in mosaic pattern, after blocking.
DIMENSIONS
About 152 cm/60 inches large and 43 cm/17 inches wide at the center.
