Constantinople
This is a rectangular shape poncho that is worked from the bottom up to the neckline and then down to the opposite hemline in one piece. It is worked in stockinette st with a picked up garter st at the neckline and a picked up 4x4 rib st at each “cuff”. The color work is a very easy mosaic pattern. The neckline extends to the edge of each shoulder. The length of each “sleeve” is long enough to partially cover each hand.
This pattern assumes basic knowledge of knitting abbreviations and terminology.
The 29” circular needles are used to accommodate the large number of sts for the body.
This is a very easy knit. That being said, it is not a quick knit. It is a large piece worked in very fine yarn so it does take patience and commitment to complete. The finished garment makes it worth the effort.
