This cowl is knit in the round (as a tube) from a provisional CO, embellishments are added using surface crochet or embroidery, then it is seamed into a circle. It was designed for The Fiber Universe to pair with their exclusive Mad Hatter mini skein color collection, and debuted at the 2016 Knitting Pipeline retreat. This is why the zodiac constellations “Leo” (zodiac sign of the owner of The Fiber Universe), “Pisces” (to symbolize the date the Knitting Pipeline retreat is usually held), and “Scorpio” (The Fiber Universe opened on November 11th) were chosen. “Cancer” was added because it is my zodiac sign. Extra charts are included so you can substitute your own zodiac sign, or that of your favorite LYS or its owner, or you could make a scarf symbolizing your family or group of knitting friends!
