Contemporary Sample Throw
The inspiration behind this mosaic crochet throw is from embroidery and weaving designs.
Some of the patterns just had to be turned side ways to achieve the design in mosaic crochet.
Then I had to decipher the lengths of the vertical patterns to make them in a uniformed design for the mosaic crochet technique.
Once I had them all graphed out I just had to work out how many repeats of each design I would need to make the pattern work.
So I went with the Mosaic Funky graph first
with the repeat of 48 st’s for the pattern sequence I began with 100 chain stitches. 96 st’s for 2 pattern repeats a side stitch for each side and a spare stitch for after and before both side stitches, which gave me a narrow border on the throw.
I crocheted over my end st’s as I worked the throw.
I used Worsted weight (10 ply) and a 5mm hook.
