Here’s a pattern that I wrote up as a way for my students to practice Continental Knitting. It starts with a few rows of garter stitch, then moves on to incorporate purling, yarn overs, and simple decreases in a lace chevron motif.

Knit this as a quick gift, and use up some stash yarn to boot!
