Amy Winehouse:
These socks were inspired by the British singer, Amy Winehouse, with her arresting contralto vocals - the socks feature symbolic, textured building blocks which produce a subtle circular impact, that speaks to the influences inherent within her own work and the impact her vocals and songs would subsequently play.

This pattern features three, simple, knit and purl textured rib inspired patterns for the leg and a slip stitch heel flap.

Materials:
• One 3.25mm / US size 3 circular needle 100cm / 40” in length for magic loop, or set of DPNs, or size needed to meet the required gauge.
• Stitch markers (2), one of which is used to mark the beginning of round.
• Tapestry needle for sewing in threads.
• Blocking materials.
• DK weight sock yarn. Exact yardage may vary, and is dependent on size and foot length. A 100g skein of the main colour and 25g skein of contrast colour should be suitable for most adult sizes worked using the suggested leg length. 2 x 100g skeins of the main colour may be required for larger socks. Sample shown using chart 2 and is worked in Knotty Habit Merino DK 100% Merino Wool, 216m / 236yds per 100g in the Sea World colourway
