Conundrum Shawlette
This pattern was designed whilst I was watching my nephew on a UK quiz programme on Channel 4 called Countdown. I started it the first day he was on and finished on the last day so it’s only fitting that I name it after a feature in the programme - The Conundrum!
It’s a simple construction whereby you will knit with an increase until you have used half of your yarn then start to decrease!
I did the first one in a 4 ply yarn and that seemed to work really well but if you feel that the centre is not wide enough or too wide then it’s easy enough to adjust the amount of stitches to increase to.
My second one is made from a DK yarn and I only needed to increase to around 30 stitches for this one. It’s knit up really nicely and I feel it holds the pattern a bit nicer :)
Gauge isn’t really important, nor is size. It’s just to whatever you think fits you best!
