Happy Hearts Day! Nothing says Valentine’s Day quite like those chalky, little heart-shaped candies. You see them everywhere this time of year. Does anyone actually like them? Personally, I’d rather indulge in a box of chocolates, but conversation hearts are so quintessentially Valentine’s Day that it just seemed right to pay homage to them with these adorable crocheted pillows.

These pillows would make great gifts. Just change up the sentiment on the pillow to fit your needs. You could even add words to both sides and make them reversible! Make some with snarky phrases like “GET LOST” and “LOVE STINKS” for your anti-Valentine’s Day friends. The possibilities are endless!

This pattern is simple and would be a great little weekend project, even for a beginner crocheter. Before you jump in, I’d recommend familiarizing yourself with the chainless foundation half double crochet stitch.
