Cookies and Beads
Additional Materials:
• 1 oz polymer clay in each of bronze and off-white colors
• Mica dust (such as Pearl-x) in bronze and pink gold
• Spray clear acrylic gloss (such as Krylon)
• Small (3/4” – 1” 2 – 2 ½ cm in diameter/width) cookie cutters in
round and square shapes
• Large rubber stamps in geometric shape and swirl patterns
• Knitting needle or other pointed object for making holes
• 10 beads with large openings
• 10 oz silver-lined Japanese seed beads in various coordinating
colors
• Small soft-bristle paint brush
• 18” (46 cm) hemp cord
• Two (2) ½” (1 ½ cm) square findings
• Two (2) lobster claws
• Rolling pin or other heavy round object for rolling out clay
• Wax paper or plastic to cover work surface
• Baking sheet
The genesis for this design actually can be traced back to a swap package I created a few years ago, in which I made my first polymer clay buttons. They still needed refinement, but I knew there would be more polymer clay in my future. This design mixes crochet, clay buttons, hemp cord, and beads to a delightfully carefree (and blingy!) result. Get ready to bring on the arts and crafts!
