This hat matches the Cookie’s Capelet pattern, but is lovely on its own as a simple and stylish beanie. It is knit in the round in half brioche, with an optional 1x1 rib brim.

The circumference can be adjusted by casting on additional stitches in multiples of 2. The length can be extended by continuing to knit before starting the decrease rounds.

There is an option to add a ribbed cuff at the start of the hat. I did not add one until after casting off, so I also included the option to add a cuff by picking up stitches at the end. The photos show the hat finished with this method. If you don’t want a brim, skip the ribs and begin the half brioche rounds.
