This Cool Lion with a super cute wooden belly button is a perfect gift for your little toddler a beautiful home decoration!

Lion is approximately 38 cm / 15″ high when bulky yarn is used. However, it can be made from any weight yarn and appropriate hook for different sizes. It has safety eyes which cannot be detached, arms and legs are attached with safety joints, thus cannot be detached either and are movable! Pattern contains also instructions for those of you who prefer using buttons instead of safety joints and eyes.

The pattern is very easy to follow, contains instructions in well-readable tables accompanied with a lot of pictures. Even though this pattern requires knowledge of a little bit more demanding stitches (e. g. loop stitch for lion’s mane), the instructions are so detailed to be understandable for beginners, too! ;-)

MATERIALS
Light Brown Bulky Yarn - app. 120 grams
Dark Brown Bulky Yarn - app. 50 grams
Black Bulky Yarn - remains
Crochet Hook 4.5 mm (UK= 7, US = G-H)
Safety Eyes - 1 pair (can be replaced by buttons)
Safety Joints (20 mm) – 4 pc. (can be replaced by buttons; instructions included in the pattern)
Wooden Button (app. 3 cm) - 1 pc.
Polyester stuffing
Longer needle (min. 12 cm)

GAUGE
Gauge is not critical for this project. Work tightly to ensure that the stuffing will not show through the stitches.
