’Coorie’ is old scots for ‘to nestle, to snuggle’ or ‘to embrace’, which is exactly what you’ll be able to do with this shawl. A long triangle shape which will give you versatile options for styling, whether it be wrapping around your body or just laying over the top. It is the perfect shape to ‘coorie doon’ in!

The pattern is more of a recipe, which means you can make this in any yarn, with any gauge/needle. In order to achieve a similar look and the same size of braid, I would recommend at least worsted weight yarn. You will repeat a 4-row repeat until you have reached your desired length.
