Copper Beech
The shawl is knitted round and steeked. Start knitting with double pointed needles and change to circular needles as the shawl grows. You may need to change circular needle length more than once.
The edges are knitted after steeking.Supplies:
The shawl is knitted with Blackhill Højlandsuld.
A total of approx. 575 g for the shawl:
Approx. 200 g for the leaf color.
Approx. 275 g for the background color.
In addition, approx. 100 g total for the edges.
Double pointed needle 3 mm.
Circular needles 3 mm.
(Start with 40 cm and change to longer needles as work grows.
Ending with 120 or 150 cm will be appropriate).
Circular needles 2,5 mm to edges (120 cm or longer).
It may be advantageous to have more round needles to work on.
Finished dimensions: Top edge 240 cm, height 120 cm (incl. borders).
