Copy Paste Mittens
Copy Paste Mittens are a modern play on the repeating patterningof traditional Norwegian mittens. These mittens are often recognizable by their eight pointed stars (or eight-petaled roses) and their abundant variation and detailing. They were primarily knit with black and white contrasting (and undyed) yarn, although celebratory “dress” mittens were often worked in a rich red.
The Copy Paste Mittens pattern is part of the design collection for our 12th annual Red Scarf scholarship fundraiser! All proceeds from the sale of this pattern through December 31, 2022 are applied directly to our scholarship fund, administered by Foster Care to Success.
This Red Scarf scholarship pattern is knit in Bare Naked Wools Festivus 7.0 Sport (100% Organic Merino) in the limited-edition, custom colorway Hollyberry. A portion of Festivus yarn sales go directly to the scholarship fund. Paired with Targhee Tango Sport, Nuevo
Please note this pattern has both written and charted instructions. Any pattern support is supplied by the contributing designer. Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size, drape, or yardage requirement.
