This ‘Coral Beanie’ is a cozy cabled hat with a slightly slouchy fit. The cable twists start tight at the brim and then spread out as they get closer to the crown. There is no need to switch needle sizes after the brim since the cable crosses are tighter in the beginning. The brim will naturally fit more snug on its own.

I have included both written instructions and a chart for working up the brim and the body of the hat. Written instructions are listed for the crown decrease rounds at the end. Also, before starting the decrease rounds, I have included a modification note to add more height to the hat if you prefer.
