The Coral Doily - an homage to the beautiful, and endangered, corals in our tropical seas.

The Coral Doily uses 150 yds of medium coral thread and 250 yds of light coral thread, with a 1.5 mm hook. Gauge is not particularly important, as long as you are consistent throughout.

The seven branches of the doily are crocheted first, and each branch is completed before moving on to the next. Then the polyps are crocheted in a continuous line around the branches. Because of the unusual construction, I have included written directions, diagrams in color, and a tally chart to help you keep track of where you are in the pattern.
