Block: dc in each of the next 3 sts, OR, 2 dc in next ch sp, dc in next st.
Beginning block (beg block): ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc in each of the next 3 sts.
End increase (end inc): #yo, insert hook in same st as las dc worked, yo, pull lp through, yo, pull through 1 lp on hook (ch 1), yo, pull through 2 lps on hook twice, working in las ch-1 made, rep from # twice.
Beginning increase (beg inc): ch 5, dc in 4th ch from hook (first chs count as first dc), dc in nect ch, dc in next st.
