If you follow the stepping stones right to the bottom of Mrs Fisher’s garden and turn right at the rockery, you’ll find a small hollowing in a big, old oak tree. It is here that the worry dolls live.

Inside the big, old oak tree the worry dolls sit around their table, made from a little box Rosa Worry Doll found in the garden. It is covered with a delicate lace handkerchief that at one time, long ago had belonged to Mrs Fisher.

As the worry dolls sip freshly squeezed blackberry juice from little acorn shells a small bell rings from the far side of the room and at once the worry dolls are on their feet, someone needs their help!

A familiar pecking sound can be heard from the entrance to the big, old oak tree. Their friend, Sophia the sparrow has arrived to take Coral Worry Doll to the little girl who desperately needs her. Waving goodbye to her worry doll family Coral carefully climbs onto Sophia’s back and wraps her arms around her neck as they glide through the bright blue sky.

As the little girl sat, head down, running her fingers through the sand at Scarborough Bay, Coral’s head peeked out between the rocks watching…

Coral worry doll silently tiptoed across the sand and gave a gentle tap on the little girl’s knee to get her attention. Coral’s voice was sweet and calming as she said “I’m here to help little girls like you, it’s my job to take all your worries away” and with that Coral carefully climbed up onto the little girl’s shoulder and whispered into her ear

“Tell me your worries and I’ll take them away,
I’ll leave your mind free to play,
Just tell me your worries as you lay down to sleep,
And your problems I promise are my secret to keep, Goodnight, sweet dreams, close your eyes tight,
And your worries will be gone with the bright morning light”

The little girl smiled as she gently picked Coral up. Placing her in her rucksack she ran over to where her parents sat, she already felt so much better knowing her secret little worry doll was there to help her…
