When I started designing this pattern I wanted to have the shape of a 5-pointed star in it. That was all that I had pre-determined. The fun part about designing a mandala, is that different colors and stitches will change the look surprisingly. The name of the mandala only came to me after it was finished.

This mandala will look its best when attached in a metal ring. I made one version on a 1,25 mm hook, the cream colored one, and that did not need a ring. The round where the mandala gets attached to the ring is skipped in this case. You can go directly to the finishing round for which there are 2 options. The choice is yours.

Any yarn will do for this mandala. It will only affect the size of the mandala. Choose a metal ring accordingly.

Crocheted with hook size 3,5 mm the mandala will measure about 26 cm. I attached that in a 28 cm ring.

Crocheted on hook size 1,25 mm, the mandala measured 12 cm.
