This pattern was created for my swap partner, Coralie, who is a violonist. Starting from this, it was easy for me to decide that I wanted to spoil her hands and imagined this pattern, that would allow her to keep her hands warm by unfolding them when needed, or to give her the ability to use her fingers with ease when folded.

This folded end is worked using short rows and sewn bind off, and the wrist is cast on using the tubular cast on (all techniques are fully explained in the pattern).

Sizes:
• S (M-L)
For a finished circumference of 16 18-20 cm

Gauge:
23 stitches and 34 row = 4’’ in stockinette stitch in the round.

Stitches:
• Textured stitch in the round
• 1:1 rib in the round and flat

Yarn & Notions:
• 1 skein of Malabrigo Finito (100% merino) or 1 skein of Cashmere DK Lotus Yarns or 180 m/195 yds of any other yarn to get correct gauge.
• 1 circular needle or DPNs in the size necessary to get gauge (suggested size : 3,75 mm / US#5).
• 1 crochet, same size.
• 3 stitch markers.
• Scrap yarn for provisionnal cast on and to put stitches on hold.

Ce patron a été créé pour ma partenaire de swap, Coralie, qui est violoniste. Partant de là, il ne m’a pas fallu longtemps pour décider de gâter ses mains d’artiste et imaginer ce patron, qui lui permettrais à la fois de conserver ses mains bien au chaud en dépliant le revers quand c’est nécessaire ou en le repliant quand elle a besoin d’utiliser ses doigts.

Ce revers asymétrique est travaillé avec des rangs raccourcis et un rabattage des mailles à l’aiguille, et les mailles sont montées avec un montage tubulaire (toutes les techniques sont expliquées dans le patron).

Tailles :
• S (M-L)
Pour une circonférence finale de 16 18-20 cm.

Echantillon :
• 23 mailles x 34 rangs pour 10 x 10 cm de jersey.

Points utilisés :
• Point texturé en rond
• Côtes 1/1 en rond et en aller-retour

Fournitures & Matériel :
• 1 écheveau de Malabrigo Finito (183 m / 50 g) ou 1 écheveau
de 100% cachemire Cashmere DK de Lotus Yarn ou environ 180 mètres de tout autre fil permettant d’obtenir l’échantillon.
• 1 aiguille circulaire ou un jeu d’aiguilles doubles pointes
nécessaire pour obtenir l’échantillon (taille suggérée : 3,75
mm).
• 1 crochet de la même taille
• 3 anneaux marqueurs.
• Un peu de laine «à jeter» pour le montage provisoire et
pour mettre des mailles en attente.
