Cora's Pineapple Lace
“Cora’s Pineapple Lace” is worked sideways across the back, increasing at the bottom edge. There are 3 options:
1) Triangular
2) Variable Increasing (to add curves to the bottom of the triangle)\
3) Crescent - halfway across the back the increasing changes to decreasing.
Each of the 3 options may be worked to a variety of widths and depths, as desired.
The pattern is based on a circa 1890 Weldon’s pattern called “Pine-Apple Border” - originally intended as a rectangular strip “for trimming household linen.”
