Cordelia Top is a short and slim-fitting top with stripes and a slightly raised front. The top is worked flat bottom up like a waistcoat. A purled row is worked at the stripes for an additional, nice structure. If you want to lengthen your top, this must be done before the division at the armhole openings. Pictured here is the top with the Cordelia skirt, which can be purchased as a separate instruction.
Cordelia is an old Latin name and “cor” means “heart”. Cordelia was also used in the Celtic language around 1800 and meant something like “heart of the sea” or “daughter of the sea”. As the pictured version has a certain maritime flair, it was a good fit, but it looks equally good with other colours and compositions.
