Both architectural and simple, this brioche cowl uses two colors of bulky yarn to help you knit a quick cowl for the coming winter. When off the needles, the arched pattern reminded me of the beautiful arches from the famous Mezquita de Córdoba in Spain, hence its name!

The Córdoba Cowl is perfect for brioche beginners to get comfortable knitting 2-color brioche. It starts with straight brioche rib for practice, and halfway through, the pattern transitions into increases and decreases, forming the upper arcs. Brioche is reversible, and the cast-on and bind-off used are reversible too!

There are two widths & heights included: A(B)
Version A (narrower + taller) uses Quince & Co Puffin, a stiffer American wool, naturally dyed by A Verb for Keeping Warm.
Sample used 2 skeins: Indigo + Cutch
Blocked measurements: 7” tall x 32” circumference / 17.75cm x 81.25cm circumference

Version B (wider + shorter) uses Madelinetosh A.S.A.P., a drapey merino, and is meant to be doubled around your neck. This cowl is also shorter in height than Version A.

Version A: US #10.5 / 6.5mm circular needles, sized 24-28” / 60-70cm
Version B: US #10.5 / 6.5mm circular needles, sized 36-40” / 90-100cm
Both versions: One US #11 / 8mm DPN or 8mm crochet hook for cast-on and bind-off

Gauge:
8 sts x 15 rounds over 4” in colorwork pattern on US #10.5 / 6.5mm needles
