Corduroy Slipover
A high-neck slipover with decorative notches and shaping details. Raised columns of Brioche alternate with Linen stitch for a classic texture with a subtle twist.
Basic brioche knitting knowledge is needed to complete this pattern, but it’s suitable for adventurous brioche beginners.
Corduroy is knit from the top down starting with the high funnel neck in Brioche Stitch, alternated with columns of slipped Linen Stitch to create subtle texture.
It’s first worked flat to create the back notch trimmed with Slipped Rib which smoothly transitions into the Linen Brioche stitch in the round. Shoulders are shaped with symmetrical increases, the back and front are then knit flat to create armholes.
After reaching the desired armhole depth, the rest of the body is worked in the round. Decorative decreases down the sides, gently taper the garment towards the hem. Finally, the hem is split and trimmed with slipped rib to mirror the back neck notch.
