Cori Cowl is a super warm and cozy cowl with a double folded turtle neck. The neck is knitted with a different yarn type than the rest of the cowl. The cowl is knitted in a 1x1 ribbing pattern, with a decorative row of ‘horizontal stitches’ at the front and back of the ‘body’.

The Cori Cowl comes in one size that fits all adults.
The pattern contains a variation of (double) increases/decreases. Tutorial links to these ánd other used techniques (9 tutorials in total!) are included in the pattern.

The Cori Cowl is knitted with two types of yarn for the body and the neck (note: 2 different gauges!). Each yarn is combined with a strand of silk mohair (or a different lace weight yarn) to create a nice optical effect and it makes the cowl very soft and cuddly.

For the body: a DK weight merino, combined with 1 or 2 strands of silk mohair (or a different lace weight yarn).

For the neck: a bulky/chunky weight wool (slightly irregular for an extra robust effect), combined with 1 or 2 strands of silk mohair (or a different lace weight yarn).

Used techniques:

  • Italian (tubular) cast on / bind off
  • knitting ‘horizontal’ stitches
  • (double) increases/decreases
  • picking up stitches (for the neck)
  • sewing down stitches

Difficulty level:
3 out of 5

A German and Dutch version of the pattern will be available soon (you’ll receive the updated version automatically)
