Corlette Point
Corlette Point is an easy-to-knit top-down shawlette worked in a chevron pattern in three colours. Techniques used are knit, purl, yarnover and the double central decrease, for which an excellent tutorial is available on the TechKnitter blog (3 stitch decrease).
Sample pictured is worked in Malabrigo Sock, using
- 1 full 100g skein of Ravelry Red, for MC
- approx. 40g of Ochre, for C1
- approx. 20g of Violeta Africana
The sample measures 24”/60cm around the neckline edge, and the length from neck edge to the points is approx 19”/46cm.
The pattern includes a schematic designed to be coloured in whilst choosing your colour combination, a small version has been included as a pic here. The schematic is accurate in terms of the number and positioning of the points but has fewer stripes so that they are not too narrow to colour.
Corlette Point is a great way to use up your sock stash or the perfect excuse to buy that one special skein.
