Cornelis Scarf
This lacy scarf is inspired by symmetrical and repeating tessellations of Escher patterns. The name “Cornelis” is an homage to MC Escher, an artist famous for his tessellated drawings, as well as my great grandfather, whose name is Cornelis.
Enjoy knitting this openwork scarf with plenty of exciting textures! The lace pattern resembles tumbling blocks and includes a hint of seed stitch in the middle of each diamond.
Edges are neatly finished by slipping the first stitch of each row, and a couple rows of garter stitch begin and end this fun knit.
