Corner to Corner Baby Blanket
This pattern gives you the instructions you need to make your own baby blanket made with a series of increases and decreases and a simple garter stitch. The Aran wool gives a great texture and warmth to the piece whilst keeping the throw light and durable. The yarn-over increases and decreases create a neat, lace effect border which keeps the edges of the blanket tidy and roll-free. This simple and elegant design makes a great gift and fits is well with any décor.
The throw pictured is 30” x 30” (76cm x 76cm). If you would like to increase the size of the blanket you can work extra rows to make the blanket longer. I have indicated on the pattern where to add extra rows to alter the size.
What you will need:
-
300g Aran wool
-
5.5mm long circular knitting needle
-
blunt needle for weaving in the ends
-
if you chose to increases the size of the blanket you will need to increase the amount of wool accordingly
