Corner to Corner Cushion
This pattern is available as a
free Ravelry download
This cushion is a fantastic way to use up odds and ends or to destash. Although information is given for aran weight yarns, others can be included by using more than one strand of a lighter weight yarn.
The knitting starts at one corner and ends at the opposite corner, so giving diagonal stripes. Texture can be added to the stripes to make it unique.
The cushion was designed for the Woolsack project - a UK scheme to make cushions for athletes attending the London Olympics and Paralympics in 2012. Around 3000 were given out and the ‘Woolsack hug’ became a well used phrase over the summer!
