This fits a 14” doll such as Corolle Mon Bebe Classique or American Girl Bitty Baby. It includes a pullover crew neck sweater, a hat with earflaps shown with and without ties on the flaps, and either long pants or leggings. The pants and leggings have a ribbed waistband, eliminating the need for elastic at the waist.

Instructions are given for making a ‘fork pom pom’ for the hat.

The pattern was done with size 3 and size 5 straight needles, and Caron Simply Soft Light yarn. I really like this yarn for my patterns, as they are meant to be played with by young children and the yarn is both soft and durable and machine washes perfectly.

If you are knitting for a Madame Alexander doll, the pieces will fit better if you use a size 3 needle for the entire garment rather that switching to a size 5. The dolls are the same length, but the Madame Alexander is thinner.
