Coronal is the result of a simple question: could I create a two-colored cabled hat with a stunning crown without the need for stranded colorwork? Fortunately, the answer was yes, and Coronal was born. Striped garter stitch and slip stitches mean you’ll never work with more than one strand of yarn per round. Cables and cabled decreases come together to create a stunning star-like crown. The best part? Coronal looks far more complicated than it is!

Coronal is available in three sizes: 14” (35.5 cm) for newborns/young babies, 17.5” (44.5 cm) for kids and small adults, and 21” (53.5 cm) for large adults. Hat will comfortably fit heads at least 2” (5 cm) bigger than listed circumference. Height is adjustable. Grey and pink sample shown is the largest size. Navy blue and grey sample is the medium size.

Gauge
1 repeat of cable pattern = 3.5” (8.9 cm) and 23 garter bumps (46 rounds) per 4” (10 cm) with larger needles.
22 stitches = 4” (10 cm) in ribbing with smaller needles.
