Corrlagh Shawl
Pattern currently in test knit
Celtic knotwork - with its endlessly intertwining ribbons - decorates the stonework, jewelry, and especially the illuminated manuscripts of Medieval Ireland. In those, it provides frames for the illustrations and borders for the pages. So I’ve named this shawl Corrlagh, the Irish word for margin. The shawl begins with a body of stockinette stitch and ends with a lace border reminiscent of Celtic knotwork.
